WHAT MAKES LUNA
WE MADE MORE THAN 200,000 FEET HAPPY. IT IS YOUR TURN!
The Leadville Pacer is among the best selling trail LUNAs!
A light and lean 9mm ultralight minimalist trail sandal that provides the most minimal amount of protection that provides the truest-to-life minimalist trail experience.
It famously uses a Vibram® soling compound that is super lightweight and grippy. It won't last as long as the stiffer Oso soling material, but what it gives up in longevity it makes up in performance. The super flexible Leadville Pacer sole will form to your feet like a glove over a very short period of time. It quickly becomes a trail favorite for its nimbleness and ground feel. Suburb approach and camp sandal.

If someone would have told me these sandals are life changing I would have laughed out loud. But seriously, these are life changing. I hadn't ever run in sandals before. I figured I'd alternate with my regular running shoes. After two weeks, I ditched the shoes completely and I'm beginning to mix in a little unshod. I run mostly on paved roads, some gravel paths, about 40 miles a week. I love these Leadville Pacers!
So far they are awesome. I can walk, hike, backpack, and jog in them (for 5km and then I start to get blisters). Love how lightweight they are. After a few months of wearing them almost every day, the tread is now starting to show some wear down.
I tell everyone these are the best sandals I’ve ever owned. I’ve worn out a few Venados and a few pacers. The original lifestyle laces were my jam so I’ve had difficulty dialing in the performance ones that are standard now - no amount of adjusting works so I have to absolutely use the extra crossover strap to keep the sandal right. If is what it is. It’s only a small complaint from an old man who gets cranky when things change
I've been wearing Luna sandals for about a decade, starting back when the strap was one piece of elastic held in place with a knot on the bottom of the sole and tied over the instep, and I've owned four or five pairs since then. So I've seen many iterations and styles, and these are by far my favorite. I find some of the newer styles to be over-engineered, especially the plastic parts on the winged styles, which are not comfortable for my feet. These, on the other hand, have just the right amount of technology (really nice to not have to worry about the knot under the toe breaking!) while maintaining a truly minimalist feel. So glad that Luna has continued to make these, and hope they continue to do so indefinitely.
I have only 3 runs done with my leadville pacer and it’s as if I was running with them forever. Easy to adjust, very confortable. The tech strap is very useful. I’m in Québec, Canada, so I’m just waiting for the real spring to arrive to switch my VFF to my Luna’s for the whole summer.
