WE MADE MORE THAN 200,000 FEET HAPPY. IT IS YOUR TURN!
The Leadville Trail is one of the oldest trail worthy LUNAs and is being reintroduced because of ongoing popular demand.
A light and lean 11mm ultralight minimalist trail sandal that provides just the right amount of protection to take the edge off the trail for a true-to-life minimalist trail experience.
It famously uses a Vibram® soling compound that is super lightweight and grippy. It won't last as long as the stiffer Oso sole, but what it gives up in longevity it makes up in performance. The super flexible Leadville Trail sole will form to your feet like a glove over a short period of time. It quickly becomes a favorite for its nimbleness and ground feel.
Your input is very much appreciated. Share it with your friends so they can enjoy it too!
These just arrived and came out of the box a few minutes ago. They fit exactly as the printable sizing guide showed they would (as long as you don't scale the image with your printing software). Adjusting the straps was simple enough. Make sure the sandal is snug such that it can't slide forward and let your heel hang off the back, or side to side too far. I got tech straps with mine and I find that they almost seem too short for my feet. What I mean is that there are areas on the tech straps without velcro material, and this seems to be the intended area where they should loop around the heel strap so they fold easier. In order to get the velcro fastened on both sides, I have to have one of the folds include part of the velcro material, which makes it a bit tough to loop/fold around the heel strap. Not a big deal; they still function. It's hard to describe why this could be for my feet. For what it's worth, I ordered Men's US size 9 sandals, and I have rather high arches. Wearing them around the house so far, I can't find any reason to consider returning them. Tomorrow is a run day and I will definitely take them out and see how they feel. I don't usually like to wear sandals with thong style straps, so I might have to build up some callouses.
So... my thirs pair of sandals completely dedicated to running... And my first Lunas. Putting a few hundred miles on a pair of EarthRunner Alphas I decided to try a pair of Lunas... I’ve had them about month and have put over 100 miles on them... 100% road miles. I have to say I absolutely love them. More than anything I love what the company stands for. I’m going to add a pair of origens to my collection. But the comfort, the ease of making adjustments, the way the sandal wears is better than any shoe I’ve ever logged miles in. I had trouble with the tech strap at first. My instinct was to ensure it’s really tight but that that caused achiles issues and calf issues. Once I loosened the tech strap a bit I realized how much I enjoyed running in them.
I am somewhat new to the sandal world. I started with chacos which I did like for a while but after a very short but wet trail I had some intense blisters. I've been out on many wet trail conditions in these with no issues whatsoever. They work perfectly. I've even ran a bit which is something I have never attempted in sandals. I will probably be a customer for life.
Amazing! I recently converted to running sandals and a friend recommended Leadville Trail Sandals by Luna. Its been an awesome transformation. High quality sandals, comfortable and it makes running a joy again. I feel like I am running barefoot like when I was a child. Thank you for an amazing product. No way will I go back to running shoes again.
