About Terradrift :
"Alisha and Josh, the co-founders of Terradrift, a blog and YouTube channel that brings outdoor adventure, science, sustainability, and a touch of sarcasm together to help more folks get outside more often in whatever ways they like to shred (they prefer backpacking, hiking and mountain biking, personally). And yes, we do (almost) all of it in barefoot shoes–sandals if we can manage. We’ve loved the outdoors for ages, so wanted to help others experience the special sort of magic only nature can bring via how-to’s, gear reviews, destination guides, you name it. And we do it all from the stunner of a mountain range known as the Wasatch in Northern Utah."
" I was sold on barefoot shoes from the moment I read “Born to Run.” Dang if everything discussed in that book didn’t make perfect sense to me. I was already backpacking in minimalist shoes, but made the leap several years ago and now there’s one pair of boots in my closet that aren’t barefoot (reserved for special occasions only, obvs). I love the studies that show they promote better balance, make feet stronger, and, logically, they just make sense since mankind has been walking barefoot or nearly so for thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years. Besides, who wants to cram their toes in narrow shoes anyway? My feet want to be free, so I let them."

I love the Oso Flaco for the flexible footbed with aggressive tread for those gravely mountain trails in Utah, but Josh wears his Monos all summer long.
Some fun facts!: We’ve both completed a multi-day backpacking trip in barefoot sandals and 10/10 would do again. It helps that we’re minimalists when it comes to backpacking, too, since our packs tend to be in the 8-10lb base weight range!
