LUNA has grown alongside the rising interest in zero-drop footwear—shoes that honor the natural human foot. We’re proud to be part of this movement toward healthier, happier feet.
Until the end of 2020, all LUNAs were handcrafted in our Seattle factory. In 2021, we moved production to Wenatchee, Washington, and also partnered with our Japanese distributor to expand globally. After careful search and collaboration, we found an exceptional partner: Okahata, a third-generation, family-owned Japanese footwear manufacturer with a factory in Vietnam. Using our materials and designs, they matched—and even exceeded—our quality expectations.
With their help, we’ve been able to meet growing demand without sacrificing what makes LUNA special. Their high standards, experience, and dedication align perfectly with ours.
Meanwhile, our new USA sandal factory in Wenatchee (converted from a 1940s apple storage building!) continues to handcraft sandals for those who want USA-made. We offer all models in this line—made to order by our small in-house team.
