Back in 2009 we created the first edition of the LUNA Equus sandal. The goal was to make the thinnest, most minimal sandal while at the same time making a piece of footwear that could last long and get more comfortable with use.
We have decided to re-introduce an updated and upgraded Equus, the Equus 2.0, adding improvements in comfort and craftsmanship. As in the past, the top remains Cordovan leather by world renowned Horween Leather Co., the finest shoe leather known for longevity and feel. The bottom again a thin yet durable Vibram rubber sole.
What is new is the way we attach the lace. In an effort to make the Equus 2.0 the most comfortable ultra-thin minimalist leather sandal, weโve introduced a new way of attaching the 1/4โ leather lace to the sandal allowing for a more comfortable and longer lasting experience youโll appreciate from your first wear.

About Cordovan Leather - by world famous Horween Leather Co:
"Genuine Shell Cordovan is the art of tanning at its finest. More than just a color, it is a very specific leather, from a particular part of a horsehide. The irregular oval shaped shells are tanned, stuffed, shaved, and then polished โ a process taking at least six months. Each shell is slowly steeped in gentle vegetable liquors. The shells are genuine hot stuffed then slicked onto glass frames to dry. Each shell is hand curried and shaved by highly skilled artisans to expose the shell. Dyes are hand rubbed on for a deep aniline finish. Finally, the shells are hand glazed to achieve the rich, glossy look and feel prized by fine craftsmen."

Take your LUNAs out for 30 days and use them the way you actually will. Trail miles, river crossings, the walk for coffee, a whole day on your feet. Get them dusty, get them wet, put real ground under them. There is no mileage limit and no keep-them-pristine clause.
If they turn out not to be right for you, send them back within 30 days of delivery for a refund, no questions asked, however worn they are. Want to try a different model instead? Return shipping is on us.

I was very hesitant to invest that much into sandals, but these have been life changing! Not only are they comfortable, they change how I feel as soon as I put them on and step outside. I live on a small farm in NC and try to do as much as I can barefoot, but these add a layer of protection that allow me to do all my morning chores and still feel the benefits of grounding without endangering my feet. The copper grounding piece gets cold when the ground is cold providing a very new and intriguing sensation. They were easy to fit and adjust as needed. I kept a 3โ tail because it looks cute tucked in and allows for adjustments. Will likely never switch to another sandal. I feel like writing to the designer and praying over them with gratitude. These sandals make me feel closer to Godโs great creation.

I've worn these about 10 times now and keep adjusting the fit but can't find a consistent place that stays on my feet. I've worn Earth Runners for years and find I almost never need to adjust the fit, with these it seems constant.
Nice materials and quality. Not sure about durability yet and not sure I'll be able to test if these don't stay on my feet!

I received a pair of sandals from Luna back in 2017-2019 don't remember exactly. I loved them and I am still wearing them this summer โ๏ธ. I needed new ones because those are getting old. I would buy the same style but you don't make them any more the same very sad.
But I was very disappointed with the new style you design. They don't stay well in the foot, the foot part is too thin and its just not what I fell in love with! I bought 3 pairs because I loved the old style. But all are disappointing. I wish I could get my money back and I wish I could have the Luna sandals I fell in love with. Very sad to write this.

I had to return my first pair. My usual size I wear for Lunas was way too big. I went down half a size and they fit perfect. I love the feeling of them - minimal, but chic. You can dress them up or wear them out for a hike in the woods. The straps take a bit to figure out how to stay in place. Overall, I love them!
