For my very first Mother's Day my husband got me a cool pair on monos with the vibram soles. I loved them, and I wore the soles out. In daily wearing, I'm really hard on vibram. Last year I got a pair of these sandals with the upcycled tire thread soles for my birthday. They are amazing! I love them. They were immediately comfortable to wear. Since receiving them last year I have worn them on all sorts of adventures. Including a recent white water rafting trip. They are the best sandals I have ever had. You guys absolutely blow Chacos out of the water in terms of comfortable and use. I love the upcycled thread s too. Keep up the good work.
Okay, these are the best running sandals ever even if I've never had another pair :) There are so many ways to adjust for a perfect fit and they are truly comfortable. I've gone from wearing them just for running to wearing them almost all day. They have formed to my feet but without looking like they are worn. I've worn for runs on pavement and on serious hiking trails. I've even kept my footing in water crossings when others where slipping and falling.
My husband and I visited Australia and for more than 6 months we wore our sandals daily in the sun, sand, water and bush. They were comfortable and light weight. We would recommend them to anyone!
This is my second pair of Origen's. They have lasted muuuuch longer than other models I've purchased, because of the rubber tire compound. The straps will likely wear out well before the treads, and the awesome folks at Luna Sandals will re-strap them for you. The firmness of the rubber keeps stone bruises away on rocky trails. That said, they take longer to break, and feel slightly heavier(which they are) than the Monos. I bought this pair of Origen 2.0's to use on a mix of pavement and trails because the pavement wears the treads off other models too quickly for my taste. I mainly run in my Luna's. Recently backslid into running shoes again. But F#@% that noise, Luna's for Life.
