Excellent. I have fat, wide and high arch feet which is sort of unusual for guy my height and body type. I have played sports all my life and consider myself normal athletic built but always had issues with shoes related injuries. Finally recovering from my years long feet injuries.
These sandals do not slip or move on the feet while climbing on rocks or running. They are flat and thin, which is ideal for someone who grew up mostly barefoot. I really love them a lot. I have very narrow feet and the customer service person with whom I communicated by email suggested I go with the Retro version because I'd be able to pull it a little more snug. This was great advice and great customer service.
I'm so glad I decided to give LUNA sandals a try after nearly giving up based on less-than-awesome experiences with other minimalist sandals. They feel secure on my feet and the grippy soles are perfect for wading through streams, climbing on slippery, moss-covered rocks, and all the other things I get up to on an average hike. Over the course of one weekend, I put in about 20 miles in my LUNAs, and my feet felt great. They're super easy to clean, and I love the perfect balance between ground feel and protection so I'm not wincing over every sharp rock. These are my new sandals for life!
This is a quality product. I researched and compared these to others before purchasing. I am so glad I bought these sandals. I love that these are made in the US. Very durable and comfortable. I’ve used them running to and from the beach, lifting weights, and walking on pavement and gravel. Allow time for your feet to adjust to the sandals in order to avoid getting hot spots or blisters. The thinner soles help maintain ground feel and allow greater whole-foot movement. I bought these with the technical straps. I did not need those after wearing them once. I highly recommend these sandals. To add context I have been using minimalist footwear or no footwear for 10 years. Your experience may vary, especially if you are not used to minimalist footwear.
