Grounded Comfort!

The all leather sandal is super comfortable as well as allowing grounding to the Earth to occur at the same time!

Great Sandals and Great Company

I have been using Luna sandals for many years now and I continue to enjoy them. I say Luna is a great company because the staff has always been very helpful and friendly. They always take care of their customers and make sure we are happy with our Lunas. I made a mistake on my last order. I wont go into details so to keep it brief, all I can say is that I really appreciate the help I got in making my order right. Thanks Luna team!

Ultimate Minimalist Sandals Leather Sole Lovers

Hello to all fellow Luna sandals owners or futur owners, ******: Is leather the material made for you? It is the core element that will make or break your experience. Leather gives the best sensation and fits the best. However, it needs time to break in, and there is a practice period to learn how to tie them up (Roots). You are up for a treat if you can pass through these inconveniences! They are an excellent pair of shoes that does the job well for it's intended purpose. Truly! Pros: - The best foot sensation. Double leather hide which is the best ratio between sensation/protection, sensation/durability - Minimalist shoes - Stylish (can be worn in dressier situations compared to their trail sandals, for example) - Very comfortable and getting better as time pass - Highly adaptable: You can fine-tune the attachment around your feet and the tension with the lacing. The sole made in the leather may even be cut a bit to fit the feet more snuggly if desired. Cons - Lacing is fiddly at the beginning and may be a pain to learn how to lace it properly. Be patient! - Highly uncomfortable the time you need your sandals to break in; again, prepare to be patient! - Because they are made of leather soles, they are less durable than their Vibram counterpart. There is no way around physics. - Because they are made of leather soles, they are slippery during the break-in period. Situations: - Day to day: They shine in this department as they are pretty "stylish" (received compliments) and may be worn in multiple outfits and situations. Casual walking is also straightforward. You may wear them on multiple occasions, whether at the beach or in a business-casual environment (I did that, nobody noticed). - Running/power walking: Very good if you are already used to minimalist shoes. I would not recommend them directly for first-timer. Be aware also that at the beginning, leather is slippery. You also need a tighter fit with your lacing, but perfectly doable. - Adventure: Very doable if you do not mind getting rough on your sandals. Had mind in water streams, mud, dust, and desert; they are worn certainly but perfectly functional. I would recommend trying to dry them up with a cloth. It works very well. Be aware that during the break-in period, they are slippery. Maintenance: If they are wet, using a cloth is perfectly fine. As for any shoes in leather, do not try to soak them non-stop in water. I use leather soap and leather balm and they are in great shape. Once from time to time Quick tip: During the break-in period, as for any leather shoes, if you want it to go faster, wear them in your house and use leather balm for the leather to become extra soft and work faster. Long-form Review: I've been a barefoot walker and runner for a while (more than ten years), and after considerable research, I found that the best sensation came with the use of leather soles, whether open or closed-toe shoes. I was thus thrilled to see that Luna Sandals had made a pair of minimalist shoes with such soles and was eager to try them out. After testing them in multiple situations, here is my review: If made for you, this is an excellent pair of shoes that does the job very well for its intended purpose: minimalist walking/running/day-to-day life in a stylish manner with the most sensation possible through the sole with enough protection/durability. However, these shoes are "patience shoes", which is that you need to be patient, waiting for them to break in and get comfortable (I seriously had blisters at the begging, but now, they are the most comfortable pair I have ever tried!), be patient in learning how the lacing works in order to be comfortable and efficient putting them on. For these points, I would not say that these are the shoes that will change your mind about minimalist shoes, nor would I recommend them for a first-timer (unless they know what they are up to). They are better off trying Luna Sandals' best seller trail or Venado sandals, for example, that are more user-friendly and comfortable out of the gate. It all comes down to the leather material. Is it the material that you appreciate? If not, go with one of their other excellent pair of sandals (I have the Venado 2.0, and they are my go-to for sport). This material will dictate whether you will appreciate the experience or not. Do you like having a break in period (you will have blisters)? Do you mind learning how to tie them up, knowing that it will be much fiddling at the beginning? If you are up for the "waiting time", these are the ultimate minimalist sandals in sensation and comfort for leather soles lovers. I barely notice them on my feet now. They are like a second skin (no kidding). I do not regret them and will surely repurchase them when mines get out of service. I cannot recommend them enough around me. Cheers! I’m obsessed

I’ve been easing into my Lina’s after years of only wearing regular running shoes. I wouldn’t say I’m marathon ready in them but I love the decrease in back pain and how much better I feel “training” my feet to operate the way they were meant to function to support my movement! I’ve run 6 miles in them and had sore knees that was gone by the next day…likely due to relying on sneakers my entire life and actually learning where and how to make impact on my feet. I do everything in these shoes, highly recommend!

Finally, the best sandal ever has been created

I've been a Luna Sandals fan since I found a nice fit in the Leadville Trail. Those have proved to be awesome in water, but they don't always feel the best in everyday life, and there is a disconnection we tend to have with the Earth's energy field and our body with the rubber in between feet and ground! Because this shoe is made of full leather, I can ground in with the Earth all day, and this is a game-changer. I've seriously thought about how there are so many great shoes that take us into the outdoors but we actually are insulated, mostly from the Schummanic Resonance because of the rubber soles! The qualities of craftsmanship with these are top-notch, and the feel has me just stoked. I do wonder how the bottoms might get some extra traction at some point but I may take them on a skateboard and have the grip tape open up the leather bottom just a bit to give it some better grip. I, admittedly, was a bit skeptical of the full-length leather straps, but actually love them. It makes it so the sandal actually stays on my feet without any slip from the heel. I'm looking forward to the leather breaking in, and again, am probably the happiest with the fact that you can be "Earthing" when out in nature and even just out to the store. If you haven't heard of this concept, check out EearthingInstitute.net (https://earthinginstitute.net/what-is-earthing/). This may be one of the most important "concepts" (really just a return to harmony with nature) that will contribute to healing "mysterious" diseases and imbalances in our physiology. Here's a taster: "When you touch your body to the ground, it dissipates static electricity and extraneous environmental electrical charges that are on you. At the same time, you receive a charge of energy in the form of free electrons and your body synchronizes with the natural frequencies of the earth." Thank you Luna for answering the call to bring is back to nature with joy and to offer an even better alternative to EarthRunners.
