I love my Rooted Brujita slip-on sandals! They're my first pair of true barefoot sandals, and they are better than expected. They fit great, stay in place, feel very light, and are super cute.
Love the Brujita. Really comfortable and looks so cute on. I had to watch the video a few times to refresh my memory on how to tie them but now I'm a pro. I've gotten so many compliments on them.
I like my new Rooted Brujita Sandals. The fit is good. I didn't measure well the first time and had to return the first pair because they were too big. I ended up taking photos and sending those to the customer service for recommendations on size. The exchange process was simple and efficient. Learning to tie my sandals is giving me a bit of a headache even though I have watched the videos multiple times -- still cannot figure out the last few steps because the images are just not clear enough. I wish there were a step-by-step (words and simple images) to guide the tying process for those of us who are knot-challenged and need a few more "hints" (such as clarifying if the lace is supposed to go over, under, or through).
I find myself constantly tightening these, so they are unfortunately a little inconvenient. In between mid stroll tightens though, they look and feel great! So happy to have found sandals that I can truly spread my toes in. Now if only they would stay on...
First pair of black laces were mismatched and in bad shape. I contacted Luna who graciously sent me a new pair of laces, which worked perfectly. Once I followed the instructions online on how to lace and knot them ("overhand knot" works WAY better than the simple “bow”, which kept untying) and trimmed the excess strap, they looked super clean and minimal. It took a couple of wears before they stopped hurting between my toes (I lubricated the toe-area lace to help the process). They are not as comfy as the Venados for running, but they are comfortable and I would get them again. I didn’t give it 5 stars because they took getting used to tying and wearing pain-free and I don’t think they are for everyone. Also depending on one’s foot shape, there can be a bit of excess sole beyond the toes like there is for mine.
