United States United StatesI’ve been running in different sandals for a long time...Xero and Earth Runners mostly and I have to say that if your feet are NOT seasoned sandal running feet then the MGT is going to literally rip the soles of your feet off. But also...best sandals I’ve ever worn. 9 mile run the day I got them and I couldn’t be happier with all the new blisters in places I’ve never had them before.
United StatesOverall these are very great “shoes”. I enjoy running trails and road in them, even though they are not meant for trails, but I still love them! I need to get a Leadville pair for true trails. The fit is very customizable and easy to understand. The customer service was excellent in helping me decide on the best fit. Thank you very much!!
United KingdomNot one to normally write reviews but; Having read Born to Run and tried making my own sandals, which eventually broke, but gave me the impetus to stick with this style of running - I bought a pair of Luna Venado's, mainly because they were the cheapest model. I was a bit sceptical because I thought it might be a bit of a gimmick. But I have run more lately than ever before, I've done two half-marathons in the last two days in them. It's been a couple of months and I did get blisters initially, however, I'm not sure whether that was the sandal or the fact that I was tying them too tight. Now they run like a dream, I don't know if my feet have hardened up or I've just got the straps at the right tensile strength but my feet can't wait to wear them. I've now ordered a pair of Mono Gordo's and some Luna running socks because I live in England and winter is coming. It's expensive stuff but it is quality and it has made my running so much more exciting. I like people looking at me like I am a nutter and just breezing past haha. I don't know if it is a novelty that I am happy to buy into or an actual benefit to my form/muscles/joints etc. but to me, it doesn't matter, since I've adopted sandals, I have run more, enjoyed it more and it has had a beneficial impact on my life as it gives me a reason to not drink and smoke so much because I relish my runs (and enjoying them) so much. Sorry for the diatribe but thanks, Luna.
