The time has come to write my comment about the my Origin sandals. Two years ago I came to the world of barefoot running looking for a solution to the problem of back and knee injuries. The only drawback that occurred to me was that due to my slow, heavy stride and the poor conditions of the road pavement in my county, there was no sandal with a morflex sole that lasts me more than 200 miles. I decided to try the Origin to follow a half marathon (16 weeks) plan that I wanted to do. After 202 miles of use the recycled tire sole, although not very flexible, is intact.Laces look perfect. This took the shape of the foot very slightly. As for the adjustments It took about 30-50 miles. At mile 190 one of the yellow button caps on the sole came off but with a bit of hard glue it was solved. This model of sandal has been a solution to my problems that I have faced on the road. Thank Mr ted!
I need to play around with the straps a bit if I want to get them just right - most comfortable - for my feet, but that's something I should be able to do. I tend to wear out the outside edge of my running shoes, so what I really like about these is the durability, I've run about 60 miles in them so far, on roads and trails, and there is not much sign of wearing of the soles.
I absolutely love my Lunas! I knew from the moment I stubbled across your shop, looking for relief and reliability in a sandal that I was in the right place. Having a wider toe box and narrow heel, I needed a sandal that tied like a flip flop but held on like a hiking shoe and these Middle Bears are perfect. With fall setting in, in the Midwest I have only gotten the opportunity to wear them around town. I am excited to see how the hold up on hikes and water activities next summer. So excited to hang up my Tevas and purchase more Lunas!
