Overall a great sandal

Very easy to run in and a great minimalist feel. The grip is great too, even on wet surfaces. I haven't tried them trail running but great on paths. I even wear them casually too. The only downside is that the straps aren't that easy to adjust.

Love them & still adjusting

Overall I love these sandals and the lightness of them on my feet. I have been adjusting to the straps - both the one between the toes and the one across the heel, which seems to sit quite low. I went rafting with them yesterday and they were great water shoes. I am happy about my purchase.

super sandals

For me, the Luna sandals are very cool. They are light, hold perfect and look good. ;-)

Best thing to rediscover my running

I was a beginner starting off with a couch to 5k program started in my office. I bought running shoes straight from Amazon and started off with them. I thought I was doing well not until I ran my first Half Marathon at 'Airtel Hyderabad Marathon'. Initial I was ok but started getting this god awful knee pain at the 17 km mark which I could not get away. I struggled, walked, limped and sprayed some pain relievers and finally finished in 3:27( cut off was 3:30). I could not sit/walk for a 1 week struggling with my knee pains. After recovering, I continued to use the same shoes and tried to strengthen my knee but every run was difficult and sluggish with heavy breathing. I know something was going wrong until I came to know about barefoot running. Barefoot running was not possible in Hyderabad with all the gravel and pothole-ridden roads. I then came to know about LUNA sandals which were not available in India right away. I then got a dear friend buy these sandals and send me to India. God, I think this was the best decision I took which really helped in my running. The first run with Luna Venado was unbelievable. I was running like a wind. No Strain, no heavy breathing, increased the pace and I wanted to run more. I ran 10K where I could only do 5k in the training session. The feel was an absolute joy, I kind of felt like this is it, I got to get out and run more. I was doing toe strikes which got away my knee pains. The sandals were simple to wear and feel light and bend with my foot. Since then, I put on a good pace, run longer even did a 21K alone which is tough on Hyderabad's hilly terrain. I am now putting a 7km/h pace consistently and do not feel tired. No more knee pains, running like a breeze. My latest half marathon was in 2:40. I thank my friend for getting these and feel the best and recommend to other fellow runners. Happy Running!!

Hmm...

My third pair of Venados (the first was the 7mm original); I loved the first pair absolutely, liked the second with some reservations, and so far am very frustrated with the third. I don't know what's different about them, but I can't seem to find a well-fitting adjustment, and they make my feet tired maddeningly quickly. Hopefully these issues will work themselves out as I put more miles on them -- but they never presented in the first place with the other two pair.
